This is now official, I can finally announce that I am back in action with the University of Queensland (UQ) alumni network in Singapore (SG), with the Business, Economics and Law (BEL) faculty, becoming a part of the UQ BEL Singapore Alumni Ambassador Council for a 2 year term.
For those who knew me and what I had been doing previously, I served in the UQ Alumni Association of Singapore (UQAAS) Ex-Co for a period of time (2 terms if I recalled correctly) before stepping down. Even after stepping down from the UQAAS Ex-Co, I had always supported and attended UQ Alumni, UQ BEL or UQAAS events whenever possible.
As events, functions and meetings are returning back to normal in a post pandemic world, UQ Global Connections networking events have also made a comeback as well. I had a good chat with Suyin during the events before another coffee chat got me confirmed back in action with UQ BEL Singapore Council. Although I was already back on the ground action again, I decided to make this formal announcement only when I received my official appointment letter.
Coming back to UQ Alumni action in Singapore with UQ BEL SG Council, the new committee (of old and new members) is taking shape, led by Suyin who is the Chair for UQ Singapore BEL Alumni Ambassador Council. I am drawing from my previous UQ Alumni experiences and putting it back into good use, taking on the social media/content creation/marketing, some parts communications and planning some events.
A shout out to my fellow UQ Alumni friends, let’s get back together again, rally your fellow UQ Alumni friends and networks. First and foremost, join us here, let’s grow our UQ Alumni Singapore community and networks!
