CommunicAsia 2009 is an annual event that was held at the Singapore Expo from the 16th to 19th June 2009, a venue and mega conference whereby exhibitors, both locals and international companies, come together and address current and emerging issues in the ICT and digital convergence landscape. An event whereby the latest and newest gadgets were announced and launched to the regional or world market.

They have enhanced and replaced traditional marketing principles in today’s fast moving society, especially in the FMCG a.k.a. Fast Moving Consumer Goods. Today, internet marketing, PR, media publicity, blogsphere and internet publicity have given branding, journalism a field that have expanded beyond our imagination, across to different people around the world very far away, yet so close with the power of social media networking and internet.
A few weeks ago, I was selected to be part of a photo blogging project by XPR to test and help market, PR and advertise LG’s latest range of highly interactive and powerful mobile phone, the LG Viewty Smart GC 900 Camera Phone. After a series of teasing photos and write-ups, the LG GC 900 was officially launched during CommunicAsia 2009 and we the 10 photo bloggers selected for this project were given an opportunity to visit LG at CommunicAsia 2009 and we had a great time chatting with LG staff from South Korea, mixing with fellow photo bloggers and enjoying ourselves, do read about my experiences here !
Bloggers who were connected and updated via various channels and it wasn’t before long that the power of social networking, social media networking and blogging came into helping LG launch their latest class of highly sophisticated mobile phones, smart phones and camera phones into a market that is very fast moving. LG shows and leads the direction ahead in how to engage and bring the mobile phones closer to the people, the other mobile phone makers would most probably be sitting up and learning hard. Thank you LG for the opportunity and I believe LG has gain a significant in today’s mobile phone / smart phone industry.
